Position Overview: Prospectus is pleased to collaborate with a prominent global charity focused on children's welfare to identify a Senior Programme Manager for a fixed-term maternity cover.

Work Arrangement: This position is full-time with the option for hybrid work, allowing for four days of remote work and one day in the office each week.

Role Scope: The Senior Programme Manager will be an integral part of the charity's humanitarian division, engaging in a wide range of disaster response activities, including anticipatory measures, risk mitigation, immediate response, and recovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a regional portfolio team, concentrating on West and Central Africa, the Middle East, and Central and Latin America.
  • Provide strategic and operational direction to team members, facilitating collaboration with regional colleagues to design, fund, and execute programs.
  • Oversee budget management for the geographical portfolio and conduct regular monitoring of the humanitarian landscape in designated regions, including donor trend analysis.
  • Develop and implement donor engagement strategies and action plans, while fostering internal collaboration for emergency response resource mobilization.

Candidate Profile: We seek a French-speaking Programme Manager with extensive experience in humanitarian contexts, adept at managing complex projects in high-pressure environments. The role demands a high level of external representation, networking, and the cultivation of partnerships and donor relationships.

Essential Skills: Successful candidates will demonstrate strong line and team management capabilities, along with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with various institutions and partners. Significant experience in analyzing donor trends and securing institutional funding is also required. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Arabic is advantageous.
