Position Overview: Prospectus is excited to partner with a global charity focused on children's welfare to find a Senior Programme Manager for a fixed-term maternity cover.
Work Arrangement: This full-time position offers flexibility with a hybrid work model, allowing for four days of remote work and one day in the office each week.
Role Scope: The successful candidate will be part of the charity's humanitarian division, engaging in a wide range of disaster management activities, including proactive measures, risk mitigation, immediate response, and recovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a regional portfolio team focusing on West and Central Africa, the Middle East, and Central and Latin America.
- Provide strategic direction and operational support to team members while collaborating with regional colleagues to design, fund, and execute programs.
- Oversee budget management for the geographical portfolio and continuously monitor the humanitarian landscape in designated regions, including conducting donor trend analysis.
- Develop and implement donor engagement strategies and action plans, while facilitating emergency response collaboration across the organization to mobilize necessary resources.
Candidate Profile: We seek a French-speaking Programme Manager with extensive humanitarian experience across various crises and a proven track record in managing complex projects in high-pressure environments. The role demands a high level of external representation, networking, and the ability to cultivate partnerships and manage donor relationships.
Essential Skills: To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate strong line management and team leadership capabilities, along with the ability to negotiate and foster relationships with diverse institutions and partners. Significant experience in analyzing donor trends and securing institutional funding is also crucial. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Arabic is considered an asset.
