Infoblox Support Engineer - Contract Position

Location: Remote, UK Only
Compensation: Competitive Daily Rate, Outside IR35

Role Overview:

We are looking for a proficient Infoblox Support Engineer to become a vital part of our client's growing team. This position is fully remote and centers on delivering expert assistance and implementation for our client's Infoblox Grid and DDI solutions. If you possess a robust background in network management and have expertise in Infoblox technologies, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Grid Integration:

  • Integrate new Grid members utilizing CLI.
  • Diagnose and resolve Grid integration challenges.
  • Work alongside the Firewall team to confirm that necessary ports are both open and secure.

License Management:

  • Oversee Grid and service licenses via the Infoblox Support Portal.
  • Upload Grid and service licenses through CLI and GUI.

DDI Configuration:

  • Establish and manage DNS Name Server Groups.
  • Set up DHCP Failover Associations.
  • Configure Network Views and Extensible Attributes.
  • Import IPAM Networks and Network Containers from CSV files.

Access Control Management:

  • Set up administrators, admin groups, roles, and permissions.
  • Limit access to the GUI, API, or CLI as required.

Certificate Authority Management:

  • Create Infoblox Certificate Signing Requests (CSRs).
  • Upload and manage CA-signed certificates.

Documentation Responsibilities:

  • Revise detailed-level design documents.
  • Compose thorough handover documentation for the Service Desk.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with Infoblox Grid and DDI solutions.
  • Strong CLI and GUI capabilities for Infoblox products.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network protocols and security, especially concerning DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience in drafting technical documentation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.
