Job Overview

We are looking for a Technical Team Leader to join our Personal Injury Technical Claims division. This role requires a proactive leader who is driven and sets a strong example for the team.

As a leader of a skilled group of claims handlers, you will oversee the management and resolution of intricate personal injury claims, typically valued up to £100,000. The Technical Team Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining exceptional standards of technical accuracy across all claims handled by the team.

Position: Technical Team Leader

Location: Hybrid working model

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Compensation: Salary range of £39,000 to £45,000 based on experience, plus potential quarterly bonuses of £2,500

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the management of complex, high-value personal injury claims.
  • Perform thorough evaluations of claims handled by the team to ensure technical precision, assess performance, and identify training needs.
  • Act as a technical reference point for claims within the Technical Team, providing expert advice and guidance as necessary.
  • Establish and implement quality control measures to improve the performance and consistency of the team.
  • Guide and mentor team members, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and create action plans for improvement.
  • Utilize management information to analyze existing strategies, implement changes, and develop new strategies to enhance performance.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Technical Team by effectively managing workloads and resources.
  • Collaborate with other teams within Personal Injury and across the broader Claims department to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Address and resolve escalated issues or disputes promptly and professionally.
  • Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the Personal Injury Department as needed.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and explore potential partnerships that could enhance the Technical Team's performance.
