About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Team Lead to join our Personal Injury Technical Claims team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced handlers in managing and settling complex injury claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the handling of complex, higher value personal injury claims
  • Conduct detailed reviews of claims to ensure technical accuracy and assess performance
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to team members on complex claims
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to enhance team performance
  • Mentor and support team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews and develop action plans to address areas for improvement
  • Use data and analytics to understand performance and implement changes to improve results
  • Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the team, managing workloads and resources effectively
  • Liaise with other teams to facilitate the efficient operation of the team
  • Address and resolve escalated issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Significant experience in handling complex personal injury claims and knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework
  • Proactive and hands-on leadership approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Innovative and open to change, with the ability to implement agreed changes effectively
  • Persuasive and confident communicator, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and excellence
