We are in search of a Technical Team Leader to join our Personal Injury Technical Claims division. This role requires a proactive leader who is driven and sets an example for the team.
The Technical Team Leader will oversee a group of skilled claims handlers responsible for managing and resolving intricate personal injury claims, typically valued up to £100,000. This position is crucial in maintaining exceptional standards of technical proficiency across all claims handled by the team.
Position: Technical Team Leader
Location: Hybrid working arrangement
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from £39,000 to £45,000, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus potential of £2,500, awarded quarterly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the management of complex, high-value personal injury claims.
- Perform thorough evaluations of claims handled by the team to ensure technical precision, assess performance, and identify training requirements.
- Act as a technical advisor for claims within the Technical Team, providing expert guidance and support as necessary.
- Establish and implement quality control measures to improve the performance and consistency of the team.
- Guide and mentor team members, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.
- Conduct performance assessments and create action plans for improvement.
- Utilize management information to analyze existing strategies, implement changes, and develop new strategies to enhance performance.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Technical Team by effectively managing workloads and resources.
- Collaborate with other departments within Personal Injury and across the broader Claims organization to ensure efficient team operations.
- Address and resolve escalated issues or disputes promptly and professionally.
- Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the Personal Injury Department as needed.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and identify potential partnerships that could enhance the Technical Team's performance.

- Extensive experience in handling complex personal injury claims, along with a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing these claims.
- A proactive and hands-on leadership style.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Innovative mindset with a willingness to embrace change and implement improvements effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
