Position Overview

Kier Group is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of construction initiatives within our operations.

Location: Various locations

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects are delivered efficiently, meeting both operational and financial objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project timelines and utilizing site management insights for comprehensive monthly reporting.
  • Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, ensuring that all operations align with Kier's safety standards.
  • Maintaining quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all work meets the established quality benchmarks.
  • Reviewing and distributing design information promptly to the supply chain in accordance with project schedules.
  • Leading essential project meetings with various stakeholders, including design teams, commercial representatives, and subcontractors.

Candidate Profile

This Project Manager role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong passion for the construction industry and can demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • A relevant technical qualification in construction or engineering, such as a Degree, HND, or City & Guilds, along with necessary certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
  • Extensive experience in managing significant construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of project delivery under NEC and JCT contract frameworks.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software like ASTA Power Project or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and mitigating project risks.
