Job Overview

Position: Senior Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to become an integral part of our Design team, specifically within the Nuclear Major Projects division.

Location: Liverpool, Speke

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time - Hybrid working options available with a site presence required at least three times a week.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the Nuclear Major Projects team, contributing to a significant energy initiative that involves the delivery of nuclear-grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure. Your initial focus will be on a project from inception to completion, followed by engagement in additional nuclear initiatives within our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks business unit. Your expertise in large-scale reinforced concrete construction is essential, along with a robust background in change management and impact program development within the NEC contract framework.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning efforts to execute an NEC Option C contract for the construction of a reinforced concrete frame structure.
  • Creating and managing programs for acceptance, impact assessments, weekly forecasts, project control dashboards, reports, and program narratives.
  • Evaluating project metrics, particularly work rates, to ensure accurate tracking of key program milestones displayed in project dashboards.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to generate precise forecasts for project completion based on labor and material resource planning.
Candidate Profile

This Senior Planner role is ideal for candidates who possess:

  • Experience in planning under UK NEC contracts.
  • Familiarity with reinforced concrete frame construction techniques and methodologies.
  • A solid background in construction across diverse engineering projects, with a comprehensive understanding of commercial and contractual aspects.
  • A proactive approach to managing planning, programming, and risk from the tender phase through to project completion.
