About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Engineer to join our team at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. As a Fire Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our residents and visitors by conducting inspections, reviewing reports, and providing expert advice on fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to identify potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Review and analyze Fire Risk and External Wall (FRAEW) reports to identify areas of concern and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) to conduct joint inspections and provide expert advice on fire safety matters.
- Write clear and concise reports on inspection findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Aid EHOs in drafting relevant notices under the Housing Act to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building inspections and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong report writing skills and attention to detail.
