Legal & General Group Asset Liability Management Lead

We are seeking a Group Asset Liability Management (ALM) Lead to join our esteemed organization. This position offers a competitive remuneration package, appealing benefits, and the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping L&G's strategic direction.

The Group ALM Division is tasked with overseeing market risk management across the L&G Group. This team provides strategic insights on hedging and investment methodologies, formulates risk management protocols, and ensures the Group's operational plans are resilient to market fluctuations.

The Group ALM Lead will assist in the Group ALM operations supervised by the Head of Group ALM, with an emphasis on project-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with Business Units to evaluate market risk exposures
  • Formulating risk management protocols and effective investment strategies
  • Delivering strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Facilitating critical proposals during Group ALCO sessions
  • Advancing Group ALM's data analytics and system functionalities
  • Collaborating with the second line Group Risk Team for comprehensive oversight

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification as an Actuary, Accountant, or investment expert
  • Familiarity with Solvency II, IFRS, liquidity risk management, and hedging tools
  • Proficient programming skills in Python or R
  • Experience in insurance and investment sectors, balance sheet risk management, and stakeholder engagement
