Job Title: Director of Service Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Buildings and Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the school's buildings and facilities, ensuring they are safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and repair work, ensuring minimal disruption to school activities.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, including condition surveys, work specification, and tendering.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of contractors and external agencies, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the school's health and safety policies are implemented and maintained, and that all staff and students are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement energy management strategies to reduce the school's carbon footprint.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and find solutions.
