A&P Group - Assistant Maintenance Manager

At A&P Group, we are seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Department Manager in supervising maintenance tasks and ensuring the effective and safe functioning of our operations.

Your Responsibilities:

In the role of Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will collaborate with the Department Manager to maintain a secure work environment and adhere to company protocols and standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying critical risks on-site and incorporating them into work planning.
  • Swiftly addressing urgent maintenance challenges and any damages incurred.
  • Regularly assessing the A&P Group facility to ensure compliance with legal standards, revising operational methods, and implementing enhancements.
  • Conducting routine inspections to detect potential problems and aiding in the establishment of preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders to schedule maintenance tasks while minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Acting on behalf of the Department Manager during their absence.

What We Seek:

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and project management, ideally within a marine or heavy industrial context, including heavy machinery.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety laws, industry benchmarks, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive stance towards maintenance challenges.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on detail.
  • Competent numerical skills.
  • Proven organizational and prioritization capabilities, with the ability to handle a diverse workload.
