ROLE SUMMARY

As the Maintenance Manager, you will direct and manage our dedicated Maintenance Team, ensuring the harbour's infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing routine and emergency maintenance tasks, operating maintenance vessels, and addressing pollution incidents.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership

  • Supervise the Maintenance Team.
  • Provide mentorship, support, and training for team members.
  • Conduct performance assessments and feedback sessions.

Marine Asset Oversight

  • Manage winter inspections and maintenance of over 600 leisure moorings.
  • Oversee summer upkeep of navigational aids, including buoys and beacons.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of the harbour's vessels and infrastructure.

Resource Management

  • Effectively allocate resources across various maintenance projects.
  • Plan and execute small to medium-scale marine initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

Safety Management

  • Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety regulations, Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC), and other relevant guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities.
  • Significant experience in marine operations, preferably in maintenance or commercial sectors.
  • Proficient in maintaining marine and land-based equipment.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
