The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical overhaul, repair, and modification of vessel equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fit and assemble mechanical components and systems onboard ships according to engineering specifications and drawings.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on various vessels, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and structural issues.
- Assist in the overhaul, repair, renew, or modification of vessel's main engines, generators, compressors, and more.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fitter or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
- Able to interpret and understand technical drawings.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and a logical, analytical, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
