About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emotional Support Specialist to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and social growth of students in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support student well-being
  • Use assessment tools such as SNAP Behaviour to identify student needs and develop targeted support plans
  • Support the daily activities of our therapeutic programs, including play and art therapy
  • Provide guidance and updates to teachers on student progress and development
  • Offer care and assistance to students in need, promoting emotional health and well-being
  • Lead and engage in various therapeutic group activities, promoting social skills and emotional intelligence
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the role
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on sensitivity and discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with both children and adults
  • Prior experience working with vulnerable children is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with assessment tools such as SNAP Behaviour
  • Ability to design and implement emotional well-being interventions
