About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our First Response Services team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions for patients presenting to the A&E Department or admitted to hospital.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Support the education and training of acute care staff on mental health issues, Deprivation of Liberty safeguards, and Mental Capacity Act.
Requirements
  • Registered professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Learning Disabilities, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of national and local guidance relevant to Liaison Psychiatry Services.
  • Experience of working in mental health settings, crisis/liaison work, and multidisciplinary teams.
