Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people experiencing mental health challenges. Your expertise and compassion will make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT and Family Therapy, tailored to the individual needs of each child and young person.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure holistic support for children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all clinical interactions and interventions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of mental health services within the Trust.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with:

  • A recognized qualification in Social Work, Nursing, or Allied Health Professions.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body (HCPC, NMC, or Social Work England).
  • Significant post-qualification experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) or similar setting.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
