We are currently seeking a Production Assistant to oversee production requests and collaborate with colleagues to uphold the highest standards of editorial, technical, production, and design quality across our network.

This role is offered as a fixed-term contract with a focus on weekend responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily influx of production inquiries and requests from editorial and project teams across our global production offices.
  • Collaborate within a 24/7 operational framework alongside teams in various international offices to resolve technical issues affecting editorial production, escalate concerns as needed, and facilitate communication regarding production challenges throughout the organization.
  • Occasionally edit editorial front pages on behalf of teams that do not have round-the-clock staffing.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in journalism within either print or digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with digital production processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Alignment with Guardian's editorial principles.
  • A demonstrated capacity to contribute a diverse perspective to this position is highly desirable.
