We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill a key role within our team at Maxwells Chartered Accountants.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and managing financial records for sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing and submitting statutory financial statements for limited companies
- Managing VAT returns and ensuring compliance
- Preparing and maintaining management accounts
- Performing bookkeeping tasks, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, and bank reconciliation
- Providing professional services to clients across various industry sectors
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in an accountancy practice and be proficient in Microsoft Suite applications. Experience with IRIS Accountancy Software, Sage, QuickBooks, and other accounting packages is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
We are looking for a self-driven and highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be well-presented, outgoing, and socially confident, with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
The position is based in Bridgwater at Maxwells' offices, and the successful candidate will work a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday. The salary range is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
