About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Executive to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As a Claims Executive, you will be responsible for the proactive management of all claims from inception to resolution, ensuring a high level of professional advice is provided to clients at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cradle to Grave handling of a claims portfolio for selected corporate clients.
  • Provide assistance and advice on large or complex transit losses, and investigate any case law or relevant facts to ensure satisfactory settlement and conclusion.
  • Monitor and analyze claim trends to be discussed and reviewed with Risk Management.
  • Build and develop close working relationships at a senior level with each of our partners, including insurers and loss adjusters.
  • Maintain an open 'early warning' culture to ensure that issues or potential errors are identified and addressed at an early stage.
  • Ensure clear lines of communication throughout the team and share all relevant information with the Claims Director, Account Executives, and Corporate Client team.
  • Interact with new business teams and provide assistance in securing new clients with a focus on our 'Excellence in Claims' offering.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and new markets.
  • Train and mentor the team and wider Claims Division.
  • Produce claims reports to ensure best policy presentation prior to renewals, and attend client meetings as and when required.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of all the main classes of General Insurance and the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in cross-class products is desirable for this role.
