Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and organized Appointment Administrator to join our busy Glaucoma Unit at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring patient appointments are booked accurately and information is updated regularly, planning and setting up outpatient clinics, and providing administrative support.

About the Role

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support, and contribute to the smooth operation of our outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Book and manage patient appointments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Plan and set up outpatient clinics, including preparing patient lists and materials
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information at all times
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
