About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Service Administrator to join our Vascular Surgery Admin team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer care, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring administrative processes are handled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer care to patients, their carers, and visitors, ensuring a positive experience throughout their interaction with our department.
  • Coordinate and organize patient attendance for outpatient, day case, and theatre appointments, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Manage administrative processes, including proofreading clinical letters, monitoring waiting times, and booking appointments from waiting lists.
  • Liaise with other health services, assist and support other administrative team members, and deal with telephone calls and patient enquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in dealing with patients on the telephone, with a strong focus on customer care and empathy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
