Role Overview:
We are pleased to present an opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Secondary Special Educational Needs Expert to become a part of our dedicated team. This role involves working within a specialized educational setting, aimed at providing support to students with intricate special educational needs, particularly in the area of communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized assistance to students facing complex special educational needs, with a focus on enhancing communication skills.
- Utilize visual resources and nonverbal communication strategies to facilitate learning and interaction.
- Conduct individualized sessions on a rotational basis and lead group activities in both mainstream and specialized educational environments.
- Collaborate with other educators and support personnel to create an inclusive and nurturing educational atmosphere.
- Employ innovative and proactive teaching methods to engage and motivate students.
Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting students with complex special educational needs, particularly those with communication challenges.
- A background in primary, secondary, or special educational needs education, with familiarity with the primary curriculum being advantageous; however, secondary experience is also valued.
- Competence in using visual aids and nonverbal communication techniques.
- A strong commitment to empowering students with special educational needs.
- A positive mindset, proactive attitude, and creative approach to teaching.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to assist with personal care when necessary.
- Capability to establish meaningful and trusting relationships with students.
