Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to the specific requirements of each student.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure students with diverse needs receive optimal educational experiences.
  • Prepare engaging teaching materials, maintain attendance records, and produce comprehensive reports on student progress.
  • Foster student confidence and independence while promoting a love for learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior, assess student work, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's development.
  • Engage with specialist services, including medical professionals, counselors, and psychologists, to support student well-being.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • A strong understanding of various special educational needs, including but not limited to:
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
    • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
    • Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
    • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
    • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
    • Physical Disabilities (PD)
  • Proficient in creating conducive learning environments and teaching methodologies.
  • Competence in utilizing technology and standard software applications.
  • Additional certifications in special educational needs education are advantageous.
  • Exhibit patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.
