About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Woodfield, a specialist SEMH education provider in Coventry. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide targeted, personalised support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting, providing individualised support and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, helping them to develop emotional resilience and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Good behaviour management skills and the ability to work effectively with challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
