Job Summary:

The Fire Fighters Charity is seeking an experienced Estates and Facilities Manager to join our team at Harcombe House, one of our nationwide recovery centers. This is a fixed-term role for up to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure excellent day-to-day operational management and delivery of all Facilities Management services, including hard and soft services, through in-house staff, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Identify income generation activities that best utilize our assets and contribute to the commercial success of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all current statutory legislation, with specific responsibility for health and safety and environmental matters.
  • Work with the Estates and Facilities Team to set and maintain standards, leading on specific projects and supporting Heads of Departments to manage essential services.
  • Participate in the Estates and Facilities on-call team and work within the Duty Manager rota for the site.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in total facilities management.
  • Hold an IOSH certificate.
  • A NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a requirement for the post.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the performance of the Charity and our culture.

Working Environment:

Harcombe House is a busy site with accommodation used by beneficiaries, rented out as part of income generation activities, and managed by in-house staff, suppliers, and consultants. The role requires excellent customer relationship, supplier management, and people management skills.
