This is a full-time, permanent role within a dynamic Eye Department that includes a collaborative team of Consultant Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, and allied health professionals. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Orthoptist to lead and innovate in a new service area while engaging with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will participate in a variety of clinical settings, including:

  • General orthoptic assessments
  • Pediatric orthoptic evaluations

  • Occasional visual field testing and vision screening

Additionally, the role includes a significant contribution to the department's expanding undergraduate education program.

There will also be opportunities to engage in Glaucoma monitoring and provide broader support to the Ophthalmology service as it evolves.

Candidates must possess a Degree or Diploma in Orthoptics and be registered with the relevant professional body, demonstrating comprehensive experience across the orthoptic spectrum.
