Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist to join our dynamic department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be part of a friendly and busy team of 11 orthoptists, working in a variety of clinics and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake general orthoptic work, including assessments and treatments for patients with ocular motility disorders.
  • Work in specialised paediatric and adult ocular motility clinics, providing expert care to patients with complex eye movement conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of orthoptic services, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree or diploma in Orthoptics and be registered with the HCPC.
  • Have previous clinical experience, although new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Be highly motivated, flexible, and have excellent communication skills.
  • Hold a current driving license and have access to a car (desirable).
