Job Title: Acute Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Specialist to join our team at Transformation Unit. As a key member of our Emergency Medicine department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult and pediatric patients.
  • Lead clinical teams and provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of our Emergency Medicine services, including quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
  • Teach and train medical students and junior doctors in Emergency Medicine.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement projects to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements:
  • On Specialist Register in Emergency Medicine or within 6 months of CCT.
  • Full GMC Registration and License to Practice at the time of appointment.
  • Advanced airway management skills, advanced procedural sedation skills, and Level 1 and 2 ultrasound competency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, and other staff groups.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a caring approach to patients and staff.
