Job Title: Acute Medicine Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Acute Medicine Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As an Acute Medicine Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Acute Medicine Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and plan individual patient care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
  • Develop and implement care plans, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers, promoting health and well-being.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Acute Medicine or a related field.
  • Registered Nurse qualification and current NMC registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
