About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Consultant to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our Acute Medicine Unit, you will provide clinical leadership and expert care to patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior doctors and medical staff
  • Develop and implement effective care pathways for patients with acute medical conditions
  • Contribute to the development of medical education and training programs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
  • Work collaboratively with other specialties to provide comprehensive care to patients
Requirements
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Acute Internal Medicine or General Internal Medicine
  • Experience in acute medicine and leadership roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
