Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, handling various transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for all who interact with us.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to members, responding to their needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process transactions, including account openings, deposits, withdrawals, and other services as needed.
- Operate a cash drawer, balance cash, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist members with account problems, checking reconciliations, and errors in transactions.
- Grant advances on existing credit cards, open lines, and home equity lines of credit, consulting with an approving officer as needed.
- Answer phone calls, file paperwork, scan documents into the Image System, and perform other clerical duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members and colleagues.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, using sound judgment and working well under pressure.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
This is an office setting with physical proximity to other employees. Some background noise from other employees, copy machines, and telephones may be present.
Physical Demands- Sits 80%, stands 10%, and walks 10% of the time.
- Must communicate clearly to answer member questions and describe member services.
- Must listen intently to member questions and concerns to facilitate quality service.
- Visual acuity is necessary to complete forms for members, such as check order forms, deposit and withdrawal slips, savings documentation, etc.
