About the Role:

Altrad Sparrows is seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger to join our team on a fixed-term basis. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for performing rigging activities as directed by client representatives and in compliance with relevant Company and client standards and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of lifting plans for complex lifts.
  • Assist in site surveys and provide advice on equipment selection and use.
  • Supervise complicated and complex lifting operations as required.
  • Provide technical advice to client Site Representative.
  • Carry out lifting duties as required.
  • Inspect and issue equipment from site rigging loft.
  • Provide support to Company LOLER Site Competent Person.
  • Undertake other works as directed by client representatives on duties unrelated to rigging operations, including emergency duties deemed to be within your competence.

HSEQ Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with the Company's HSEQ Policy and take an active role in the compliance and improvement of Sparrows Integrated Management System.
  • Report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services, or systems to your Line Manager.
  • Follow all Company processes and procedures and familiarize yourself with the emergency response arrangements applicable to you.
  • Be responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting you while on the Company premises.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 VQ in Moving Engineering Construction Loads, Rigging, or suitable equivalent.
  • Safety Passport.
