Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Officer to join our team at Secure Retail. As an IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality IT support to our business, including hardware, network, and application support, as well as carrying out operational and housekeeping duties to maintain the availability of our IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd Line Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and escalate to the IT Manager/Technical Systems Officer as necessary.
  • System Daily Checks: Perform daily checks to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.
  • Project Work: Participate in projects to improve and enhance our IT services.
  • System Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of our IT systems.
  • Mobile Device Management: Manage and maintain our mobile devices.
  • Asset Management: Manage and maintain our IT assets.
  • IT Helpdesk Management: Manage our IT helpdesk and ensure that all technical issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Procurement of Hardware: Procure and manage the purchase of hardware and software for our IT systems.

Requirements:

  • Windows XP/10: Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Windows Server 2012+/2019: Experience with Windows server operating systems.
  • Windows Active Directory and Group Policy: Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Networking (Basic Switching and Routing): Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Helpdesk Systems: Experience with helpdesk systems.
  • Dell/HP Servers: Experience with Dell and HP servers.
  • Forcepoint Email and Web Filtering Solutions: Experience with Forcepoint email and web filtering solutions.
  • Enterprise Antivirus Systems: Experience with enterprise antivirus systems.
  • Mobile Device Management: Experience with mobile device management.
  • Office 365: Experience with Office 365.

Desirable Skills:

  • Linux/Ubuntu: Experience with Linux and Ubuntu.
  • Firewall Knowledge – Cisco ASA: Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Monitoring Systems – PRTG: Experience with PRTG monitoring systems.
  • Virtualisation – Hyper-V/VMWare: Experience with Hyper-V and VMWare virtualisation.
  • Managed Wi-Fi Systems: Experience with managed Wi-Fi systems.
  • Antivirus Systems – Sentinel One: Experience with Sentinel One antivirus systems.
  • Web/E-mail Filters – Forcepoint: Experience with Forcepoint web and email filters.
  • Data Leakage Prevention (DLP): Experience with DLP systems.
  • Two Factor Authentication (RSA): Experience with RSA two-factor authentication.
  • PowerShell (Scripting): Experience with PowerShell scripting.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 plus a bonus scheme that should generate another £3,000 per annum. We also offer private health insurance, on-site gym, company pension, and free parking. The working hours are 9:00 am to 5:15 pm, but flexibility is required to work outside of these hours if necessary.

Willingness to undergo a DBS and credit check is essential.
