Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading Manufacturing business based near Manchester.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work, and being proactive in correcting and modifying recurring machine processing faults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to the nominated production area.
- Fault find in an effective and efficient manner using historic/information documentation.
- Train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and assist in major repairs.
- Proactively reduce engineering downtime and continuously improve the process and department.
Requirements:
- A time-served engineering apprenticeship is ideal, but not a prerequisite.
- A background in Food/FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing is a distinct advantage.
