We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an E-commerce and Online Marketplace Executive. This is a critical role in driving the e-commerce strategy of the Digital function and making up a core part of the Senior Digital Leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Digital Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Direction: Drive the strategic direction of Trading; commercial plan, customer journey, and site set to enhance performance.
- Team Leadership: Lead a diverse team of traders for Beauty, Health, and General Merchandise, including digital merchandisers, graphic designers, brand specialists, and SEO specialists to deliver the commercial and customer plan.
- Customer Acquisition: Evolve and implement the customer acquisition strategy and be responsible for the strategy and delivery of Paid Search, SEO, and lower funnel targeted campaigns.
- Agency and Vendor Management: Support our relationship with Mediacom (our agency) and Google via the Director of Paid Performance.
- Transformation and Innovation: Drive application and delivery of transformation outputs in the Digital function, working with the Head of Digital Transformation to turn innovative ideas into reality to drive revenue.
- Marketing Technology: Work with the Chief Digital Officer to lead the innovation roadmap for our marketing technology stack.
- Business Alignment: Collaborate with the Managing Director of Beauty, Healthcare & Pharmacy, General Merchandising Business Units, and Chief Commercial & Customer Officer to ensure digital trading results support overall Boots growth.
- Commercial Opportunities: Identify and drive commercial opportunities in proposition or.com range enhancement for immediate and long-term growth.
- Data-Driven Insights: Lead a data-led insight and optimization approach into Trading, Design, and Marketing.
- Performance Metrics: Accountable for the In-Store Ordering performance.
- Leadership Development: Build a future Boots Digital leadership team.
- Team Growth and Development: Key member of the Digital Leadership Team - leading and contributing to the overall growth and development of high-performing teams.
- Online Experience: Extensive digital experience and ownership of the e-commerce proposition for another B2C organization recognized as best in class in this area, ideally involving a multi-channel or omni-channel offering with a turnover in excess of £100 million.
- Data Insight Led: Adept at leading the development and delivery of data and insight-led strategies, familiar with GA360 and capable of developing a trading team skilled in data, insight, and customer-first trading strategies.
- Customer-Centric Approach: A strong understanding of the entire customer lifecycle, especially in areas where innovation is prevalent, such as shipping and logistics.
- Commercial Acumen: Commercial acumen as well as operational know-how.
- Sustainability and Measurement: Ensuring that growth is sustainable and measured against all KPIs including traffic, conversion, AOV, customer base, frequency, margin, and marketing ROAS.
