Quality Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's growing team at their Baldock facility. The successful candidate will have experience in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing and a strong background in quality assurance within the electronics manufacturing industry, particularly with PCB assembly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform first-off checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct final inspections of completed PCBs to verify they meet all quality and performance criteria.
  • Implement and oversee testing procedures to verify the functionality and reliability of PCBs.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality assurance processes to ensure consistent production of high-quality PCBs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality inspections, testing results, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work closely with the production team to implement changes that enhance product quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Machines is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of electrical circuits and PCB design principles is preferred.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
