Job Overview: We're seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's growing team at a leading global electronics manufacturer based in Baldock. The successful candidate will have experience in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing and a strong background in quality assurance within the electronics manufacturing industry, particularly with PCB assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of initial PCB assemblies to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee testing procedures to verify the functionality and reliability of PCBs, including manual and automated testing processes.
- Quality Assurance Processes: Develop, maintain, and improve quality assurance processes to ensure consistent production of high-quality PCBs.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality inspections, testing results, and any corrective actions taken.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work closely with the production team to implement changes that enhance product quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience with Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Machines: Familiarity with AOI technology for inspecting PCBs is highly desirable.
- Electrical or Circuit Knowledge: A strong understanding of electrical circuits and PCB design principles is preferred.
- Quality Management Systems: Experience with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 is advantageous.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues effectively.
