About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Area Manager to lead our Strengthening & Supporting Families teams in East Riding of Yorkshire. As a key member of our Children & Families Services team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of social workers to deliver statutory services to families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers to deliver high-quality services to families in need.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to strengthen and support families, promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualified registered social worker with experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Strong understanding of Children & Family Court Proceedings and experience of managing teams through change and innovation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
