Job Summary

Jewson, a leading building materials distributor, is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Branch Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the branch to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and colleagues to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and inventory levels
  • Lead by example and promote a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement business plans and strategies to drive growth and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
  • Manage and develop the skills and performance of team members to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role in a retail or distribution environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
