Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Assistant to join our team at 4way Recruitment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our accountants and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and proactive investigation into any differences/aged items.
  • Post and reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Update and maintain finance team schedules and trackers, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Support with year-end audits, including data collection and analysis.
  • Prepare and submit VAT reconciliations and returns, as well as Office for National Statistics returns.
  • Contribute to project-related work, including financial and headcount reporting.
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Part-qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
