We are seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist to join our team at St Neots Hospital as a Mental Health Act and Finance Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in mental health and finance administration.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and coordinate Mental Health Review Tribunals, Section Renewals, and Hospital Manager Appeal meetings for service users, ensuring the preparation and arrangement of necessary paperwork.
- Supervise the financial administration of the unit's Client Fund Account, petty cash float, and safety deposit facility, applying local procedures and processes effectively.
- Ensure invoicing of patients' enhanced support is completed and submitted to head office.
- Liaise with patients, their families, and carers to identify financial needs and entitlements, and collaborate with social workers to provide assistance and information.
- Assist with the accurate and timely completion, processing, and monitoring of DoLS paperwork.
- Provide patients, their relatives, legal representatives, and official agencies with necessary information and documentation for detention, registration, and admission under the MHA.
- Organize and service associated meetings, ensuring the effective and timely production, collation, and distribution of reports, minutes, and other relevant documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information, ensuring regulatory and statutory requirements are met.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983, including Mental Health Law, Mental Capacity Act, and any subsequent legislation.
- Experience in a similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
