Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Communications Support Engineer to provide expert assistance in radio services. This role is crucial for supporting national radio contracts and requires a strong background in radio maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support and resolve customer issues
  • Provide advanced assistance to field engineers
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of radio communication networks
  • Install, configure, and test radio systems and associated software
  • Repair a variety of radio equipment
  • Conduct site assessments, system upkeep, and troubleshooting
  • Engage in Out of Hours support as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in radio repair and maintenance
  • Familiarity with antenna systems, PMR setups, and decommissioning processes
  • Knowledge of Tetra, microwave, and DMR technologies
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols
  • Competence in Microsoft Windows and Unix operating systems
  • General understanding of RF and electronic testing tools
  • Knowledge of IP networking and LAN configurations
