Radio Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radio Systems Specialist to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in 2nd Line Radio Services, focusing on maintenance and fault resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer support and triage faults/issues
  • Offer 2nd line technical support to field-based engineers for radio faults
  • Support the development, maintenance, and optimization of radio networks
  • Install, configure, and test radio network equipment and software components
  • Repair handheld and rack-mounted radio equipment
  • Perform site surveys, system maintenance, and assist with fault finding/repair
  • Participate in Out of Hours telephone support as part of a rota

Requirements:

  • Experience in 2nd Line Radio repair and fault resolution
  • Knowledge of Antenna, PMR installation, and decommissioning
  • Familiarity with Tetra, microwave, and DMR systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows and Unix based systems
  • Awareness of RF and electronic test equipment
  • Knowledge of IP networks/LAN
