Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radio Network Specialist to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our Managed Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing customer support to end users, troubleshooting radio faults, and ensuring the smooth operation of our radio networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support to end users to triage faults/issues
  • Provide 2nd line technical support to field-based engineers relating to radio faults
  • Install, configure, and test radio network equipment and software components
  • Undertake repairs of various handheld and rack-mounted radio equipment
  • Attend customer sites to perform site surveys, system maintenance, and assist with fault finding/repair or project work as necessary

Requirements

  • 2nd Line Radio repair experience including maintenance and fault resolution
  • Experience of Tetra, microwave, and DMR systems, including cell enhancement and repeater systems
  • Personal and on-site health and safety
  • Liaison with and coordination of both client and 3rd party contractors
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Unix-based systems
  • General awareness of RF and electronic test equipment
  • Understanding of IP networks/LAN
