Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director for Quality to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our dermatology services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a clinical service within dermatological specialist-nursing field and provide specialist education and training to others relating to this service.
  • Be the Deputy Dermatology Nursing Manager for the entire Dermatology Service, working closely with the Dermatology Nursing Manager to assist with the development of the service.
  • Lead the Dermatology Nurse-Led Clinics service, developing the services, initiating changes, and auditing the services' effectiveness.
  • Have qualifications in Advanced History Taking and Non-Medical Prescribing or be willing to undertake and successfully complete this educational path.
  • Receive direct referrals, assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients within the remit of the role and agreed protocols in Nurse-Led specialist treatments, minor surgery, and follow-up dermatology clinics.
  • Undertake line management (appraisals, sickness monitoring, and development) of junior staff.
  • Provide education relating to Nurse-Led clinic service to other healthcare providers.
