As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a key role in providing high-quality emergency care to patients, working closely with our experienced team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Our Emergency Department is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care. We are committed to supporting our doctors through the CESR programme, with a bespoke professional development plan tailored to meet the needs of the individual doctor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality emergency care, being competent in the normal range of emergency medical conditions and injuries.
* Direct clinical care will consist of scheduled shifts for the routine assessment and treatment of patients that present to the Emergency Department.
* Take part in the middle tier rota, covering 24 hours, seven days a week.
* Undertake professional development and participate in audit, ensuring all clinical governance areas are met.
Requirements:
* Completion of at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) with at least 2 years in Emergency Medicine.
* Experience in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching.
* Experience of managing the Emergency Department as the Emergency Physician in Charge (EPIC).
* Evidence of involvement in audit & research projects.
* Experience at Registrar level or equivalent in the UK health system.
