We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Doctor to join our Emergency Medicine team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality emergency care to patients, working closely with our experienced team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality emergency care, being competent in the normal range of emergency medical conditions and injuries.
- Direct clinical care will consist of scheduled shifts for the routine assessment and treatment of patients that present to the Emergency Department.
- Take part in the middle tier rota, covering 24 hours, seven days a week.
- Undertake professional development and participate in audit, ensuring all clinical governance areas are met.
- Completion of at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) with at least 2 years in Emergency Medicine.
- Experience in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching.
- Experience of managing the Emergency Department as the Emergency Physician in Charge (EPIC).
- Evidence of involvement in audit & research projects.
- Experience at Registrar level or equivalent in the UK health system.
