About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Pan-Dorset Mental Health Complex Care Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing medical treatment within a multi-disciplinary care model, attending clinical team meetings, and performing medical duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing medical treatment and care to patients with complex mental health needs
  • Attending weekly clinical team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
  • Compiling patient histories, preparing case summaries, and discharge summaries
  • Preparing reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers' Hearings
  • Liaising with other clinical teams, general practitioners, and medical specialists
  • Conducting specialist assessments, including forensic, learning disabilities, and CAMHS
  • Assessing patients out of area
