Job Title: Senior Care Assistant - Nights

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at St Andrew's Nursing and Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and a positive attitude.
  • Conduct daily medication rounds, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to medication policies.
  • Participate in shift handovers, providing clear and concise information to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Identify and address any concerns or issues, escalating them to the Home Manager as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans, promoting resident-centered care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
  • Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
